About Us

Te Hiku Connect, formerly known as Kaitaia Community House, has been a central point of growth and connection for whānau for over 20 years. Our mission is deeply rooted in the heart of Te Hiku – to connect communities, provide essential information, offer advocacy services, and create a warm and welcoming space where everyone feels at home. Additionally, our in-house budgeting service is committed to empowering individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate their finances successfully.

Located at 12 Puckey Ave, Kaitaia, our doors are open to serve you from Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 4 pm. For professional & personalised budgeting advice, Kaitaia Family Budgeting Services is at your disposal free of charge, accessible by appointment.

To support our mission of connecting our community, we also produce a monthly newsletter ‘Te Hiku Connect’, sharing local news, opportunities and events within Te Hiku to inform and empower whānau.

Finally, our online Community Events Calendar is a tool for fostering community involvement. Join us in creating a more connected and vibrant Te Hiku, where your participation makes all the difference.
